Virgin Mobile Kyocera M1000 Wild Card Cell Phone

I've done a lot of reviews of cell phones over the past year, but I've never done a review of a Virgin Mobile cell phone. The Kyocera Wild Card is Virgin Mobile's latest cell phone, and it's also their most advanced model to date. This review will not only take an in-depth look at the Wild Card smart phone, but it will also take a look at the Virgin Mobile “pay for use” service plans to see if they are a better deal than the typical one- or two-year service agreements with other carriers like Sprint, AT&T, or T-Mobile.

The Kyocera M1000 Wild Card isn't the most sleek-looking phone, but it does have some decent features and functionality. This phone supports email, Bluetooth headsets, web browsing, optional GPS capabilities, instant messaging, and sports a 1.3 MP camera phone. It looks good on paper, but the big question is whether or not this device lives up to its impressive feature-set or are all of these features just novelties to try to get people to buy this phone.

The price of this cell phone is certainly good. You can pick up this Virgin Mobile phone for just $99, and of course, there is no one- or two-year service agreement required. There are various Virgin Mobile service plans available for the Wild Card which I will detail later on in this review. Right off the bat, I'll tell you that $99 is a great deal for this phone. It's not very often that you can purchase a smart phone for under $100 without having to sign a long-term service contract. So I have to give the Wild Card some props for having such an affordable price tag.

The Wild Card comes equipped with a battery, a charger, and the manual, but not very many included accessories. A travel charger will cost about $20.
